I started C25K in September last year weighing in at 129kg and boy was it hard the first few sessions and having to have two operations between then and now meant I repeated quite a lot of it two or three times. I didn’t enjoy the early sessions much at all but as I was so determined to get fit and shift the extra stones that I was carry I gritted my teeth and got on with it.
I started to enjoy it the first time I could manage a ten minute interval, after that it got a lot easier. It’s convincing the mind that you’re not really going to keel over, that’s the key 🙂
Anyway, I’ve dropped 23kg since then and regularly go out for 8+ mile runs on a weekend, this weekend I went out and did over 13 miles for the sheer enjoyment of it and to push myself that bit further.
