Running a marathon

I used to think nothing of marathons, used to bore the socks off me, I used to see it covered on TV and think what’s the big deal. This was right up until I started running!!

Being able to run those long hard 26.2 miles is a colossal achievement and something I would love to achieve myself. I’m currently maxing out at 15 miles in 2 1/2 hours, but every week of running that goes past, every lb lost, helps carry me forward towards being able to run for longer distances over greater time frames.

I have nothing but respect for those that have done one or many. The mental and physical fortitude that it takes speaks volumes about a persons character.
