Rest days, they are an essential part of a runners training plan. They give your muscles time to repair and regenerate and set you up for your next foray into the wilderness.
That said, often I absolutely loathe them sometimes. Today I’m itching to go out for a run, but I am resisting knowing that I have a solid weekend of running ahead of me.
The voice inside though is not letting up, “you’ve just bought new stuffs you need to get out there and try it” and not wait until your scheduled run in the morning!!!
Must resist, must resist…
